Zebra ZM400 Not Calibrating

While there are a multitude of things that can prevent a printer from properly calibrating, there are really only a few things to keep in mind that will cut down on a lot of mismanagement of time due to Zebra Zm400 not calibrating issues.

First is cleanliness. Printers like to be kept as clean as possible in order to continue printing a good image. Not only will this extend the life of the printhead and printer itself but the functionality of the printer can be greatly affected by how dirty the printer gets inside. Things like glue residue from the labels, dust from labels as they pass through the printer and the environment the printer resides in are all common issues that can cause calibration errors.

Next thing to check is the alignment of the labels and the media sensor. The media sensor on the ZM400/ZM600 is a black piece of plastic that has a top and a bottom to it. The labels have to slide in between the 2 black pieces or the printer won’t be able to identify when there is a label and when there is a gap to the next label.

If cleanliness and alignment didn’t help to fix your calibration issues it may be time to get it in to one of our professionals at BCTP for a free quote!
