Used Barcode Scanners - Laser.

Commonly used in retail environments, laser barcode scanners offer a scan range from 6 to 24 inches. Laser scanners are typically offered in two versions: retail and industrial. Industrial laser barcode scanners may be used in a more rugged retail environment or in warehousing applications.

Your used laser barcode scanner uses a beam of light magnified by a mirror to create the visible read line used to decipher bar codes. Laser technology generates quick and efficient barcode reading.

Used Barcode Scanners - CCD.

CCD scanners utilize imaging technology to read barcodes. In addition to being cost effective, CCD scanners have no moving parts, which results in increased durability. The range of a CCD scanner requires closer proximity to the barcode – effective reading occurs only between 1 and 3 inches from the bar code. Additionally, CCD scanners provide slower read times than laser scanners.

Used Barcode Scanners - Omni-Directional.

Ideal for improved efficiency in assembly line or retail check-out environments, omni-directional scanners allow users to scan barcodes at various angles. Omni-directional scanners utilize a multi-directional laser pattern designed to reduce the precision required when scanning a barcode. An omni-directional scanner is typically paired with a stand that allows the scanner to sit on the counter top, keeping the user’s hands free to handle product.

Used Barcode Scanners - 2D Imager.

When your application requires the use of 2-dimensional barcodes, a 2-D scanner must be used for reading. The scanner may utilize laser, CCD or imaging technology to capture the barcode, creating a “snapshot” image of the data. 2-D scanners are often used in shipping applications, when traditional barcodes do not offer enough space to encode the necessary information.
